The French Revolution by Wikipedia can be defined as a period of radical social and political upheaval in France that had a major impact on France and throughout the rest of Europe which took place from 1789-1799. It was the period of time that a monarch which had ruled France for centuries came tumbling down in just three years. This was Revolution was due to the rational thinking of the Bourgeois-the lawyer,merchants who where in the third estate who wanted equality among all men. in ancient France their society were made of Three estates;
1. The First estate- The Nobles and those of royal blood.
2. The second Estate- The clergy and Bishops.
3. The third estate- The peasants and commoners of France.
Now due to some Factors the Bourgeois decided the every man should be equal and put the thoughts into the commoners of France.The French Revolution began in 1789 with the convocation of the Estates-General- a meeting of all the Estates. in May. In the early years of the Revolution there was a Tennis court oath by the third estate, the storming of the Bastille and The Declaration of the Rights and of the Citizens. And also the Execution of King Louis XVI. Without going into further details we are going to learn the external factors that brought France from a monarchy to a Republic. And shaped Modern France's Nationalism.
